The Trail Back Home

Home sweet home!! Thank the Lord for a very nice trip home today. Our flights went very well and the boys both did great. No major problems, that's a miracle! I guess one of the scariest times was when we landed in Tegucigalpa. We haven't flown into this airport for quite awhile, we were reminded once again that the runway is very short!!
Sandra came and picked us up at the airport. We were met with balloons and decorations as we walked through the door. Sandra and Rita had been decorating all morning and had lunch waiting when we got home. What a nice surprise!! It felt good to be back.
The ladies couldn't wait to get their hands on the new little missionary. They were so excited!!
Tonight the church people are coming over for a welcome home party so I'm sure Daniel will get lots of love. Thanks so much for praying for our travels, now it's time to get back to work!

Glad you arrived back "home" safe!! The runway here in Grand Cayman is very short, too. You want the pilot to get stopped very quickly, because if he doesn't you'll go right into the Sea! So nice of the ladies to have your home decorated and lunch ready. They sound very thoughtful!!

So glad the Lord protected you all as you traveled back to your place of Ministry. God Bless You!

How sweet of them! I always loved the "native welcome home" parties. PNG people would decorate the whole entrance to the station with huge flower banners (strung flowers on the strands from a banana branch) across the road, flower petals strewn on the dirt road & kids would shower us with flower petals as we drove in. Then, they would have a big Muum (feast). One of the Many BLESSINGS of being a missionary! :-)

Glad you all made it home. So happy to see that the people had such a big welcoming party for you. It sure shows their love doesn't it?
