Sightseeing Around Town

The projects never stop!! It was so nice getting a hot water hooked up. Now Hannah doesn't have to heat up water on the stove every time she wants to wash dishes!
We finally took a day off of the work projects and decided to head to the zoo. It was very relaxing.
A great day at the zoo!
Nothing like a cool ice cream in the middle of a heat wave!
At the statue of Christ of Picachu.

My Parents Come For a Visit

There is so much catching up I need to do. In the beginning of April my parents came for a month visit. It has been awesome having them here.
Nana and Pap have been making memories with the boys! This visit is going down in the history books!
Joseph's school had a Honduran Day and parents and family were invited to see the displays and presentations. This girl was dressed in typical fashion.
I have been keeping dad busy with all kinds of projects. If we keep this up we will soon have a newly remodeled house!

Baby Dedication

I love baby dedications! Children are a special gift from God and it is always encouraging to see parents taking the initiative to show God they want Him involved in their child's life. A few Sunday's ago I was privileged to dedicate Elizabeth Florentino to the Lord.
Grandma and Grandpa are so proud of their very first grandchild!!
 Presenting the dedication certificate.

More Friends Come to Visit!

Some more friends stopped by after Shane and Anna left. Libby and Jenny drove eight hours on a bus from Copan to spend a few days with us. Libby Snyder is from Hobe Sound, Florida and we got to know her several years ago when she was one of the TLC team leaders that came to Honduras. Jenny is Honduran and she was also on the TLC team that came that summer. It was nice having them back!

A Visit from Shane and Anna Cooper

Just now getting around on reporting on some old news. After our revival we had a special visit from some of our friends from Pennsylvania. Shane and Anna Cooper stopped in for a few days and brought two Honduran pastors from the town where Anna grew up. It was a privilege having them in our home.
Shane and Anna taught some of the young people the Sunday they were here. Our young people really enjoyed the class.
One afternoon I took them down to central park and walked around. This is a picture of the Cathedral in downtown Tegucigalpa.
A relaxing shoe shine!
Shane is a pilot and will be starting his aviation mechanics classes this fall in Michigan. Here we are looking over an aviation map of Honduras and calculating how long flights would be to certain places.
What Tegucigalpa looks like on an aviators map.
