Thanksgiving at the Meltons House

Daniel and Tiffany Melton are working with Evangelistic Faith Missions about 6 hours from us in a little town called San Luis. I have known Daniel and Tiffany for quite a long time since they both attended Penn View Bible Institute. They were so kind to invite us to their house for thanksgiving along with Steve and Yvonne Delong also friends of ours from school days. Steve and Yvonne are working about 4 hours from us. It was so nice to all get together and share thanksgiving. The food was top notch and the atmosphere was relaxing. It was a nice get-away from our daily routine. Thanks Daniel and Tiffany for a wonderful time!! We really enjoyed it!

A few of the pics here show the compound where they are working. They have a Bible school, a radio station and a clinic. The Melton's are doing a great work. The last picture is Joseph and I standing at the edge of the compound overlooking the beautiful valley and mountains. San Luis is such a quite and relaxing place to visit. We really enjoyed our time there.

Julio Preaching on Sunday Morning

A Good Revival

Somebody must have been praying for us because God really helped us during the revival. We had a good turn out each night and sensed the Lord's presence among us. Julio and Nemecio preached and sang with all their hearts and their ministry was blessed.

Each night I took people from our church in Tiloarque.  It was a big moral boost for the Las Uvas church to see our people take time to attend their revival.

On Sunday morning Hannah had her Sunday school class in one of the ladie's homes. We normally don't have sunday school at this church because I have to preach at our home church so this was a real treat for the kids, they really enjoyed it. After the service we had dinner on the grounds and enjoyed rice mixed with chicken and vegetables that Jose Montoya and Xiomara cooked. It was a great time!!

Thanks for praying. God really helped us and we give Him all the praise!

Revival Time!

This is a special weekend for us, the Las Uvas church will be having their first revival. This church has been going just a little over a year and they are very excited about having their very own weekend of services.

Julio Villareyna will be the evangelist. He pastors an H.I.M. church in Nicaragua and is just a super guy. We are looking forward to him coming. So help us pray, there are so many needs among this congregation. I would really like to see some new converts, I sense that God has been speaking to their hearts but we haven't seen the changes that need to happen. Pray that we have a real breakthrough during this weekend!!

Do This in Remembrance of Me

Today was a wonderful day!!! God's presence saturated our morning worship service. I invited all those who are Christians to come forward and partake of communion. As the people gathered around the front I noticed that Michelle stayed at her seat while the rest of her family came forward. Being ten years old I figured she may be embarrassed or not really sure about what she should do. I opened my Bible and began to read from I Corinthians and when I finished and looked up Michelle was standing next to her dad. It wasn't until tonight did I hear what happened that brought Michelle to the front to partake of the communion. After church she said to her mom "Mom, I have to tell you about something amazing that happened during church" When they got home she began to tell them the story.

She said "When the pastor asked everyone to the come to the front I wasn't sure if I should go up. I was afraid that maybe I shouldn't take communion. So I told the Lord that if he wanted me to go up to have my dad look back at me and ask me to come up. Well he didn't look back so I didn't know what to do. But when the pastor began to read from the Bible I felt a wind hit my body and I heard a voice tell me to go up and I felt someone pushing me from behind. When I went up I felt so happy, I felt a joy that I never have felt before".

God came during that service like we have never experienced before. We sang and rejoiced together. People were crying and giving wonderful testimonies. I felt like I should push the message aside for another time. The people left the service strengthened and encouraged. It was just what we needed!!! I give God thanks and praise for His help. When we remember Him, He remembers us!
