We always knew this day would come but we never expected it to come so soon. It was time to say good-bye to my family. I couldn't ask for a better family. They support us 100%.
After loading our car with suitcases we gathered together in the living room and dad prayed a prayer of blessing and protection over us. With hugs and tears we said our good-byes.
Though we are sad to say good-bye we are excited for the future. This is God's call, God's plan. We can't wait to see what all it entails. Hopefully the next time we meet as a family, we will have many stories of souls who were saved and lives that were touched. Who knows, maybe the next time we gather around the table, it will be in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
Meet Mike, the truck driver who came to pick up our things today. What an awesome guy! When he found out we were missionaries moving to Honduras he was pretty excited. He said, " I thought there was something special going on ". He is a deacon in his church and has a real interest in visiting a mission field someday. Who knows maybe it will be Honduras. He has been driving truck for twenty years, maybe now he will start flying to Honduras.
Today was the big day when our boxes were to be picked up to be sent to Honduras. We had all our stuff ready to go, fifty-three boxes, tagged and taped. We were told that a truck would be coming between 1-3pm. At about 2:30 the truck arrived. Man, was this ever exciting. We started loading up. After about an hour the truck was on its way, there was a feeling of no turning back!! We are on our way!!
With our time being limited we thought we would take the opportunity to get together with some friends. It was a great evening playing mini-golf, eating out and fellowship together. Doug ( pictured at the top right ) was victorious in the mini golf game only by one stroke. We all had to give him a hard time about that because Scott hit Doug's ball into the hole accidentally giving Doug what he needed to win.
It was a great time. They are memories that we will never forget.

It's been packing and stacking over the past few days. It's time to move our belongings over seas. This is a whole new experience for us. I wasn't even sure where to start in this whole process but with some good advice and God's help it is all coming together.
As it looks right now a truck should be coming to pick-up our belongings next week. It will be such a relief to see these boxes coming through the door in our house in Honduras. Pray that this shipment will go smoothly.
Family and friends gathered together in the small town of Lake Placid, New York for the funeral of Joyce Marshall. Set in an old stone church with cathedral ceilings and ornate wooden trim, the service was marked with God's presence. We were reminded of the many ways aunt Joyce touched our lives and the lives of many others. She was dedicated to a life of evangelism even to her very last days where she reminded Rev. Meyers that she wanted him to officiate her funeral and she wanted it to be evangelistic.
Her memory will live on. We will never forget her constant love and steadfast commitment to Christ. Her passing is a stark testimony to us all that God's saints die well.

On Wednesday, September 6 at 12:20 A.M. Joyce Marshall passed away. As my aunt she was an inspiration to me. I had the pleasure of spending several summers with her and her family in Lake Placid, New York. She lived a beautiful Christ-like life. She was a missionary, teacher, artist, mother and a great friend. She loved serving God and her heartwarming, caring spirit will be greatly missed.
It was back to uncle Tim's house for another fun-filled family reunion. Uncle Tim and Aunt Connie have been so gracious to allow us to come and camp, trampoline, ride four wheelers, play games and just enjoy the fellowship at their house in western Pennsylvania. Thanks Uncle Tim and Aunt Connie, we had a great time!!
